EQT III bought Carl Zeiss Vision in 2005.
It was created by the merger of NYSE-listed Sola International Inc. with the eyeglass lens division of Carl Zeiss AG. The company is the global number three and designs, manufactures and distributes a broad range of eyeglass lenses, primarily focusing on the growing organic lens segment.
In 2013, EQT III sold its stake in Carl Zeiss Vision to Carl Zeiss AG.
